A bomb threat at the Escambia County Judicial Center yesterday caused the building to be evacuated for close to three hours. Hundreds of prospective jurors, defendants and staff were escorted to nearby Plaza Ferdinand at about 9 a.m. as Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies and a bomb dog searched the building. No threats were found and the courthouse reopened about 11:30 am. The investigation into that threat is continuing.
