LAWSUIT AGAINST SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Three Gulf Breeze families of young girls who were inappropriately touched by a substitute teacher are suing the contract company who hired him. Richard Mack pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 20 years in prison earlier this year for four counts of lewd and lascivious behavior while working as a substitute teacher at Gulf Breeze Elementary School in October 2016. The lawsuits say Professional Educational Services Group, failed to perform background checks, verify professional references, request publicly-available personnel files, supervise Mack’s teaching techniques or train him in the appropriate way to interact with younger age groups.
