PANAMA CITY BEACH DROWNINGS

Two swimmers, including a teenager, died after being pulled from the surf in separate incidents in Panama City Beach yesterday. Fifteen-year-old Tyler Spann from Lexington, Tennessee was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was found unresponsive by Beach and Surf Patrol behind Bikini Beach Resort at around 1:30 p.m. Less than three hours later and three miles down the beach, a 60-year-old unidentified male was pronounced dead at the scene behind Dunes of Panama at 4:12 p.m., according to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. Tuesday’s drownings bring the total of Gulf-related deaths in the last month up to seven, going back to May 19th.
