The Pensacola Fire Department, Escambia County Fire Rescue’s Hazmat team and the Pensacola Police Department all responded to a report of a suspicious package at the Tippin Avenue Post Office just north of Creighton Road yesterday. Around 9am postal workers notified authorities there was a small package that was leaking liquid that had a strong smell. The building was evacuated and streets surrounding the post office were closed until it was determined the liquid seeping from the package was some kind of liquid antiseptic and normal operations could be resumed.
