The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a 37-year-old State corrections officer been arrested for pointing a gun at his 11-year old stepson. The child told deputies that during an argument with his mother, Leggett pulled a pistol and pointed at him and his mother. The child’s mother denied that Leggett displayed a weapon or pointed it at his stepson, but responding deputies said she was very evasive in answering their questions. David Leggett, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a third-degree felony.
