Florida Governor Rick Scott has placed a moratorium on state regulation that could inhibit public beach access. The law nullified Walton County’s customary use ordinance and Scott said it has created considerable confusion and some have even interpreted it as restricting beach access. However, the Governor said he is committed to keeping beaches open to the public.
