The Walton County Sheriff’s Office said they caught a man actively downloading child pornography at a home on yesterday morning while in the process of serving a search warrant. Deputies arrived at the home on Ten Lake Drive in Defuniak Springs about 10 a.m., but 60-year-old David Smith didn’t see them coming and investigators said Smith was actively downloading child pornography. Smith was arrested and charged with multiple counts of child pornography and distribution of child pornography and booked into the Walton County Jail.
