The Navarre Press is reporting that a swimmer who went missing off Navarre Beach yesterday morning probably did not survive. Navarre Beach Fire Rescue Chief Danny Fureigh said witnesses saw the man – who was about 30 – enter the water around 9:30am, but he did not resurface and thE the search had turned into a body recovery. The swimmer went into the Gulf about a quarter mile east of Navarre Pier, although the water was closed to the public ahead of the approach of Hurricane Michael.
