Congressman Matt Gaetz easily won reelection to a second term against his Democratic opponent, Dr. Jennifer Zimmerman. Gaetz took 67 percent of the almost 322,000 votes cast in the race. He represents Florida’s First Congressional District which includes Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and part of Holmes County. Gaetz was elected to his first term after the retirement of Congressman Jeff Miller.
