The National Weather Service says the Okaloosa Correctional Institution work camp on Colonel Greg Malloy Road, was damaged by a probable tornado Monday night as a line of thunderstorms moved through the area. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said the facility’s food service building and outer perimeter fence were damaged and deputies were called to the correctional facility to assist in providing security while inmates were transported to another facility. No injuries to inmates or staff were reported.
