Both Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis were narrow winners in their hotly contested races. Governor Scott announced victory in his race for the United States Senate against incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson with the State Division of Elections showing Scott was leading by less than 40,000 votes.

In the race for Florida Governor the results were more clear-cut with former Congressman Ron Desantis defeating Tallahassee Mayor, Andrew Gillum, the Mayor of Tallahassee, by about 60,000 votes. Gillum conceded the election to DeSantis late last night.
