FORT WALTON BEACH OFFICER QUITS

The Fort Walton Beach police officer whose complaints against administrators led to the resignation of former Police Chief Ed Ryan, no longer is employed by the agency. Interim Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Robert Lovering said Officer Don Hall had been granted extended family leave, but declined to return to work last Thursday after being ordered to do so. Lovering said he was accepting that as Hall’s resignation effective immediately. Hall filed 12 complaints against then-Chief Ryan and Major Tracy Hart last June, but an attorney hired by the city investigated each of Hall’s complaints and said he found little to no merit in any of them.
