The head of Bay County’s health department has resigned.  Administrator Doug Kent resigned from the Department of Health two months after Bay District Schools officials accused the health department of taking school health records and called for the state’s Office of the Inspector General to investigate the matter. The Health Department accepted the resignation and agreed not to take disciplinary action. Holly Holt, administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Walton County, will be the interim chief of the Bay department until a permanent replacement is found.
