REPEAL OF FLORIDA GUN LAWS

Pensacola State Representative Mike Hill wants to repeal the gun control laws passed last year following the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. House Bill 175 bill would lower the age to buy a gun from 21 back down to 18; remove provisions that created a three-day waiting period for rifle and shotgun sales and banned bump stocks that can allow a semi-automatic rifle to fire like a fully automatic rifle; and gave law enforcement the authority to seek risk-protection orders to seize guns from people declared dangerous. In a press release Hill said, “As lawmakers, we swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. The gun control law was in clear violation of that oath.”
