MILTON SHOOTING JUSTIFIABLE

The State Attorney’s Office says an officer-involved shooting in Milton last year was a justifiable use of force. Last November 8th Bradley Hobbs stole an S.U.V. from a home in Milton, then took a pickup truck. Milton Police Corporal Dwayne Smith and Officer Daniele Morey spotted the truck speeding north on Highway 87 and followed it until it crashed through a fence into a retention pond near the Whiting Field intersection. Hobbs was shot in the chest by Corporal Hobbs when he threatened the officers with a knife. Hobbs survived and told investigators he threatened Corporal Smith because he wanted to die. Hobbs faces multiple felonies.
