CONVENIENCE STORE MURDER ARRESTS

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department said three people have been arrested and charged in the murder of a convenience store clerk Tuesday night. About 8:15 pm 50-year-old Govardhan Kotha was found shot to death in the Quick Fill convenience store on Mobile Highway by arriving deputies. 29-year-old Efidarius Bryant and 23-year-old Keandra Martez Smith have been charged with felony murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. It is believed Bryant shot and killed Kotha during the attempted robbery. Both are being held in Escambia County Jail with no bond. 34-year-old Crystal Clausell is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
