A 56-year-old Michigan man who flew to Okaloosa County in October 2018 thinking he would have sex with a 12-year-old girl, could be sentenced to life in prison. 56-year-old Ronald Roscoe of Traverse City, Michigan, is a registered sex offender and thought he was communicating with the underage girl, but it was actually an undercover investigator posing as a 12-year-old girl. Roscoe had reserved a room at a Destin hotel, but was arrested at the airport. He has since pleaded guilty to charges of attempted enticement of a minor, travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, and transporting material involving sexual exploitation of minors. He is scheduled for sentencing on May 6th at the U.S. Courthouse in Pensacola.
