PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING

A plane at Pensacola International Airport had to make a belly landing yesterday morning when its landing gear malfunctioned. The pilot of a BAC-167 Strike Master, a small two-man jet, notified air traffic control that he had an unsafe landing gear indicator and tower personnel confirmed the landing gear was not down so the pilot landed the aircraft on its belly. The pilot, who was the only passenger, was not injured. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
