HUMAN TRAFFICKING EDUCATION BILL

A bill in the Florida Legislature would require public schools in the State to teach students about the dangers and warning signs of human trafficking as well as child abuse. Gulf Coast Kids House in Northwest Florida deals with many of the victims of both crimes, its Executive Director Stacey Kostevicki (“Kost-A-Vickie”) said Escambia County has some of the highest levels of reported child abuse cases in the State and the bill would be a great tool to help better educate children about the risks of human traffickers.
