SANTA ROSA SCHOOLS INVESTIGATION

The Pensacola News Journal says the State Attorney’s Office is investigating the Santa Rosa County School District about possible fraudulent stipends paid to sports coaches. Chief Assistant State Attorney Greg Marcille said information is being gathered and will be reviewed to determine what action should be taken. Marcille said the investigation could take several more weeks. Santa Rosa County Superintendent of Schools, Tim Wyrosdick, declined to comment on the investigation and said he has directed all school district staff to do the same.
