Six students wearing costumes became overheated and passed out while giving presentations yesterday morning at Pine Meadow Elementary School. A School District spokesperson said the students were in heavy, hot costumes during a presentation in the cafeteria. Escambia County School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said the air conditioning was turned on and was working properly. The students were taken to Sacred Heart for precautionary examinations.
