NEW SANTA ROSA COUNTY SCHOOL

The Santa Rosa County School District plans to build a new school in the Navarre area. The two-story, 30 million-dollar K-8 school will be built on 42 acres west of Elkhart Drive and north of Houston Circle. It is the first new school to be built in Santa Rosa County in 12 years and will have a student enrollment of 1,182 students, including about 450 middle schoolers. Located between West Navarre Primary and Intermediate schools and Woodlawn Beach Middle School, the new school will relieve overcrowding at West Navarre Primary, West Navarre Intermediate, and Woodlawn Beach Middle.
