The Florida Highway Patrol says a 24-year-old Alabama man who hit a Milton motorcyclist with his vehicle in Santa Rosa County and then fled to Okaloosa County has been arrested. Troopers say Justin Moorer, of Wilmer, Alabama, was eastbound on Interstate 10 when he collided with a motorcycle driven by 38-year-old Joshua McKean, of Milton, who was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious injuries. Moorer fled the scene and was pursued by troopers north on State Road 85, then back to I-10, where his car’s tires finally gave out near mile marker 65. Moorer fled into the woods and an FHP K-9 dog apprehended him. Moorer suffered a dog bite, and was treated at a local hospital before being booked into the Okaloosa County Jail.
