WALTON COUNTY SCHOOL NURSE ARRESTED

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office says a Paxton School nurse was arrested yesterday following an investigation into missing medication. 40-year-old Jacquetta Lowry, of Laurel Hill, was charged with two counts of child neglect after it was found that a substantial number of pills were missing” from the school’s inventory. Sheriff Mike Adkinson said some pills may have been replaced with other medications. Walton County Superintendent of Schools Russell Hughes said Lowry has been placed on administrative leave. Lowry was fired from a nursing home in Florala for the same thing she is now suspected of doing at Paxton School.
