Escambia Fire-Rescue says seven cats are dead and three other pets unaccounted after a house fire in the 800 block of Esconditas Place. Escambia County Fire Chief Paul Williams said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. At least a dozen pets were inside the home and firefighters said they did found several other pets including guinea pigs and cats alive.
