Former Okaloosa County Board Superintendent Mary Beth Jackson has resigned. She was suspended by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis shortly after he took office for not taking action to report child abuse within the district. Governor DeSantis accepted the resignation and appointed Marcus Chambers as Okaloosa County Superintendent of Schools for the duration of the term, which ends on November 16, 2020.
