FUTURE SANTA ROSA COUNTY SCHOOLS

The Santa Rosa County School Board has voted to move forward with purchasing 63-acres of land off Woodbine Road in Pace for 1.6 million dollars that could be the future site of two new schools. School Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick, said two to three schools will be needed in the Pace area in the next 10 years. He said the biggest need is for elementary and middle schools, but the school district is also eyeing a piece of property in the Pace/Pea Ridge area that will likely be a future high school.
