The Milton Police Department has identified the man killed in an officer-involved shooting on Tuesday. Chief Tony Tindell said 34-year-old Edward Mathew Guerrero-Cruz was fatally shot after he stole a dump truck, then rammed three different vehicles, including a Santa Rosa County deputy’s vehicle. Two officers from the Milton Police Department and one Santa Rosa County deputy are now on administrative leave. The investigation is being handled by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
