PANAMA CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT

Code enforcement in Panama City has begun for properties damaged by Hurricane Michael. Bay County appraisers estimate property values in Panama City dropped 14.2 percent in 2020 – numbers that will only increase after properties damaged beyond repair are demolished. Mayor Greg Brudnicki said a lot of people are still negotiating with insurance companies and they need to be given the chance to comply with code requirements. Brudnicki said three new magistrate judges have been hired to deal with code enforcement in a more timely manner.
