The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says Tate High School was placed a precautionary lockdown for a time yesterday morning. Major Andrew Hobbs said deputies were attempting to arrest a suspect on a warrant for domestic violence in the area near the school when the suspect fled, but did not run onto the campus. The lockdown was lifted shortly thereafter, but a description of the suspect was not immediately available.
