POSTAL EMPLOYEE SENTENCED TO PRISON

The Department of Justice says a former U.S. Postal Service employee from Panama City was sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to stealing and using debit cards and checks from postal customers, as well as cash from Post Offices. 29-year-old Elizabeth Brown worked at post offices in Okaloosa, Walton, and Holmes counties and stole postal customers’ individual and business bank checks and debit cards between March 1 and May 31, 2017. She was arrested after trying to cash one of the stolen checks at a bank in Panama City.
