The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says an early morning car chase ended when the fleeing vehicle crashed into a portable toilet and the driver was arrested. It began when a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop around 4 a.m., but the driver refused to stop. He eventually hit a portable toilet on Islandview Drive. 41-year-old Larry Hoss Jr. of Destin fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended. He is charged with fleeing and eluding, leaving the scene of a crash, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
