With temperatures falling below freezing the Council on Aging of West Florida is asking for donations of electric heaters for seniors and families in need. Josh Newby, marketing communications director for the council, said with temperatures in the 60s and 70s earlier this month, the council hasn’t received the heater donations it usually does. Residents interested in helping are encouraged to donate new, electric, small to medium sized heaters to the council’s location at 875 Royce Street.
