The Escambia County Sheriff’ Department says a 44-year-old Cantonment man has been arrested for the September 10th armed robbery of a convenience store. Investigators say Jonathan Vito was charged with the robbery of the Tom Thumb store on Highway 29 and Woodbury Court after showing the clerk a gun he had in his waistband. Vito was later identified from surveillance images. He lives with his mother a short distance from the store and he is a suspect in robberies at the same store on July 4th and July 29th. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
