There are reports of corrections officers on strike at the Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama. Prison officials say that nine officers did not report for their shift on Saturday. Officers from other Alabama Department of Corrections facilities were brought in to take their place for that shift. The prison says that the officers reported for work the next day and never said they were on strike. The Department Of Corrections said the reports of the strike came from inmate advocate groups and not from department officials.
