Pensacola Police have made an arrest in the September murder of a 75-year-old woman. On September 26th, 19-year-old Perry Ford, turned himself in to Pensacola Police Department on charges of grand theft and uttering a forged instrument. He has now been charged with the September 9th slaying of Carolyn Barnes, whose body was found in her Flintwood Circle home by a friend who went to check on her after Barnes failed to answer her phone. Barnes had been shot once in the back of the head. The gun thought to have been used was reportedly stolen from a vehicle August 9th. Forehand said Barnes had hired Ford on several occasions to do odd jobs around her home.
