VOTER REGISTRATION EXTENDED 10-11-16

The U.S. District Court has ruled that the voter registration deadline will be extended until 5pm on Wednesday, October 12th. U.S. District Judge Mark Walker based his decision on the case brought by the Florida Democratic Party because of the impact of Hurricane Matthew on the state. Florida Governor Rick Scott, wanted to keep the original voter registration deadline to 5 PM on Tuesday, October 11th. Judge Walker will hold another hearing in Tallahassee tomorrow after the Democratic Party requested the deadline be extended to Tuesday, October 18th.
