The Pensacola Police Department reports the body of a man was found behind a local business in the 6800 block of North Ninth Avenue Tuesday morning. A woman found his body around 7:45 a.m. He has been identified as 47-year-old Wes Burkalter. Police have begun a homicide investigation after an autopsy confirmed Burkhalter did not die from natural causes. Anyone with information about the death is asked to contact the Pensacola Police Department.
