A 27-year-old man has been convicted of second degree murder for a shooting that happened in the parking lot of the boat ramp near Graffiti Bridge close to 17th Avenue and Bayfront Parkway. Kenneth Knight Jr. was charged with shooting Dustin Burns on June 20th of 2015 after they argued. Burns returned to his car, drove up to Knight who was in his truck, and fired four to six times. Burns suffered a single, fatal gunshot wound in the chest. Judge Scott Duncan swill sentence Knight on December 13th. Knight faces a mandatory minimum of 25 years in state prison and a maximum of life.
