A Century woman arrested on a traffic charge is now facing felony drug charges for trying to bring drugs inside the county jail. In August, 32-year old Kristin Sharee Redmon was arrested for resisting an officer and a felony charge for driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender. While being booked a corrections officer found a clear plastic bag in Redmon’s rear pocket containing a white powdery substance.
After Redmon was released from jail, lab results returned from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement identified the substance as methamphetamine, and additional warrants were issued for her arrest.
She has since been arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and smuggling contraband into a detention facility. Redmond remains in the Escambia County Jail on a bond of $17,500.
