The Florida Highway Patrol said Highway 29 had to be closed for about an hour last night due after a single vehicle traffic crash. Troopers say just before 10 pm 32-year old Christopher Armour of Pensacola was northbound in his pickup just south of Barrineau Park Road when he lost control while attempting to change lanes and overturned several times.

Armour and his passenger, 21-year old Montana Ard of McDavid, were not injured. A large quantity of nails and screws were scattered for several hundred feet of Highway 29. Highway 29 northbound was closed from Quintette Road to Barrineau Park Road, until an FDOT contractor used a large blower to remove the debris off the roadway. Armour was cited for careless driving.
