Escambia County is looking for a new Assistant County Administrator. The incoming assistant administrator would replace Chip Simmons, who has become the chief deputy of operations for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department. The new Assistant Administrator will oversee the county’s corrections, public safety, facilities management and building services departments with an annual salary range of $105,000-$125,000, Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or a related field and five years’ experience in local government administration at a director level or above.
