The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says a Cantonment woman is recovering after being stabbed by her boyfriend yesterday morning.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call on Jonah Avenue around 9:30am and found a woman with multiple stab wounds. 28-year old Anthony McCormick was arrested at the scene and was booked into the Escambia County Jail without bond charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
