DRUGGED DEPUTY CAR CRASH 12-2-16

An Escambia County deputy who crashed his cruiser into a home in Milton told police he was on drugs at the time. It happened Monday in the 300 block of Merrill Drive and responding officers with the Milton Police Department said the unidentified deputy was covered with blood and had a stab wound in his chest. He told police he tried to commit suicide because of marital problems. He was taken to a local hospital after the incident and admitted he was under the influence of prescription drugs. He faces driving under the influence and criminal mischief charges.
