SHOOTER ID’d 12-6-16

Pensacola Police have identified a 23-year-old man who fired a shot at a police officer Friday night. Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, officers responded to Highland Drive on a report of an armed disturbance. Officer Matthew Mercado found one of those involved – Tijuan (“Tee Wan”) Johnson – riding a bicycle on Sixth Avenue near Tunis Street. Johnson fired one shot at the officer, then fled the area. Mercado was not injured. Johnson is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 150 pounds and is wanted for attempted murder and aggravated assault. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Pensacola Police Department or call Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
