A 49-year-old man will spend 30 years in prison for sexual offenses committed on underage females. Douglas Manning previously pled guilty to several felony charges for his role in a ‘Swinger’ case involving several Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies. Former deputy Walter Thomas was sentenced to 30 years in prison in October. A second Escambia County deputy, Mark Smith, was found not guilty and was acquitted on similar charges. Circuit Court Judge Joel Boles sentenced Manning yesterday.
