The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department says an inmate was found dead in a cell in the Santa Rosa County Jail yesterday. Jonathan Cotant was found in his cell dead at approximately 2:30 p.m. Cotant was arrested December 3rd by the Florida Highway Patrol. The case remains under investigation as a possible suicide.
