Escambia County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the 100 block of Vaughn Avenue in Cantonment for an armed disturbance Saturday morning caused by a man with multiple felony warrants. Believing the man was barricaded inside the home he SWAT team was called in, but he was found hiding beneath a nearby house. Before he could be apprehended the man took his own life. No shots were fired by deputies.
