CAR CHASE ARREST 12-21-16

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department arrested a 25-year-old woman after a car chase. A deputy attempted to stop a car driven by Erica Raily for seat belt and window tint violations at the intersection of Booker and Robinson Streets in Cantonment. Raily refused to stop, but did slow long enough for a man to jump out and run. Raily was eventually stopped at the Raceway gas station at the corner of Highway 29 and Muscogee Road, but refused to tell deputies the name of the man who ran from her car. However, deputies found his identification in the car and learned he had an active felony warrant for violation of probation. Raily was charged with fleeing and eluding and obstructing justice without violence along with several traffic violations including no proof of insurance. She was released from the Escambia County Jail on a $6,000 bond and her vehicle was seized by the Sheriff’s Department.
