A Century man arrested for a traffic violation now faces additional charges of bringing illegal drugs into the County Jail. An Escambia County deputy stopped 48-year old Aubrey Phifer on Highway 29 in Century and arrested him for driving while license suspended as a habitual traffic offender. After being taken to the Escambia County Jail corrections officers found a clear plastic bag containing cocaine inside Phifer’s sock. He was then charged with possession of a controlled substance and introduction of contraband into a dentition facility.
